Divisé en une trentaine de chapitres, le texte fourni plusieurs conseils pour favoriser la créativité que ce soit dans le milieu des affaires ou des arts. Je suis tombé sur ce guide via <a title="I Will Teach You To Be Rich" href="http://www.iwillteachyoutoberich.com/">I Will Teach You To Be Rich</a> qui mentionnait dans un de ses articles l&#8217;importance de trouver les personnes de confiance qui ont l&#8217;expérience requise et de les écouter et surtout, d&#8217;ignorer le reste du monde.</p>
<p>Quoiqu&#8217;il en soit, le premier chapitre qui porte sur l&#8217;importance d&#8217;ignorer tout le monde m&#8217;a fortement marqué car je pense qu&#8217;il se veut profondément vrai. Je l&#8217;ai vécu, plusieurs l&#8217;ont vécu. Lorsqu&#8217;il s&#8217;agit de faire découvrir une nouvelle idée, demander à ses proches ce qu&#8217;ils en pensent est généralement une mauvaise idée.</p>
<p>Pourquoi? D&#8217;abord, bien que vos proches ne voudraient jamais volontairement vous nuire, ils ne connaîtront jamais votre monde aussi bien que vous, même s&#8217;ils essaient du mieux qu&#8217;ils le peuvent et même si vous tentez de le leur faire découvrir.</p>
<p>Mais le point, le plus intéressant qui vient, à mes yeux, valider cette position est le fait que, par nature, vos proches ne veulent pas que vous changiez; ils vous aiment comme vous êtes. Si une idée pourrait faire en sorte que vous changeriez, la dynamique de leur relation avec vous changerait également.</p>

<p>Et ce n&#8217;est pas seulement vrai avec vos proches. Dans le milieu des affaires aussi, la résistance à un changement dans la dynamique de la relation de vos collègues avec vous se veut tout aussi palpable.</p>

And they want whatever makes them more prosperous. Sure, they might prefer it if you prosper as well, but that&#8217;s not their top priority.</p>
<p>If your idea is so good that it changes your dynamic enough to where you need them less, or God forbid, THE MARKET needs them less, then they&#8217;re going to resist your idea every chance they can.</p></blockquote>
<p>Comme l&#8217;auteur le répète souvent, ce n&#8217;est pas par méchanceté ou par égoïsme, c&#8217;est généralement uniquement par nature humaine que cette résistance se fait sentir.</p>
<p>Je crois qu&#8217;on peut bien illustrer ce phénomène en prenant en analogie deux bons amis célibataires. Lorsque l&#8217;un deux se trouve une partenaire, les sentiments de l&#8217;autre ami sont en dualité: d&#8217;un côté, il est extrêmement heureux pour son ami, mais de l&#8217;autre, il vient de perdre la dynamique confortable qu&#8217;il chérissait avec son ami ce qui le fait secrètement un peu &#8220;chier&#8221;&#8230;</p>
<p>Nature humaine je vous dis!</p>

<p>C&#8217;est probablement pourquoi il y a si peu de grandes idées qui font leur chemin: ceux qui les ont n&#8217;ont pas la force pour vaincre la résistance qui les entoure. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sarmite Bulte, une candidate lib&eacute;rale dans le comt&eacute; de Parkdale-High Park, est sous les projecteurs depuis que <a href="http://www.michaelgeist.ca/">Michael Geist</a>,  professeur de loi et &eacute;ditorialiste, a soulev&eacute;, au d&eacute;but du mois, quelques questionnements sur les actions de Mme Bulte. L&#39;histoire ne cesse de prendre de l&#39;ampleur dans le <a href="http://news.google.ca/news?hl=en&amp;ned=ca&amp;q=bulte&amp;btnG=Search+News">monde m&eacute;diatique</a> (ce lien est sur Google News, il y a tellement d&#39;articles sur le sujet, je ne peux tous les lister ici).</p>
<p>Pour faire un court r&eacute;sum&eacute; ce qu&#39;il en est, Sam Bulte est une des responsables derri&egrave;re le projet de loi C-60 portant sur la r&eacute;forme du droit d&#39;auteur au Canada, projet de loi que plusieurs qualifient de pro-industrie (je ferai d&#39;autres articles concernant le <a href="http://www.michaelgeist.ca/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=blogsection&amp;id=0&amp;Itemid=100&amp;topics=10036">bill C-60</a>). Mais le questionnement populaire ne vient pas uniquement de l&agrave;. En effet, il semble que les campagnes de Mme Bulte ont &eacute;t&eacute; grandement financ&eacute;es par l&#39;industrie du divertissement. </p>
<p>De surcroît, une lev&eacute;e de fond pr&eacute;vue pour le 19 janvier doit être tenue par les lobbyistes du droit d&#39;auteur pour supporter Mme Bulte. Aux yeux de la population, ceci apparaît &eacute;videmment comme un conflit d&#39;int&eacute;rêt majeur et soul&egrave;ve des doutes quand &agrave; l&#39;&eacute;thique de la candidate.</p>
<p>Au cours de la derni&egrave;re semaine, les <a href="http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&amp;call_pageid=971358637177&amp;c=Article&amp;cid=1136501415965">r&eacute;ponses</a> de Bulte semblaient simples: elle ne fait rien d&#39;ill&eacute;gal alors ceux qui critiquent ses relations devraient tous la laisser tranquille. Or ce que Mme Bulte semble oublier, c&#39;est qu&#39;il y a une diff&eacute;rence entre ill&eacute;gal et immoral ou non-&eacute;thique. Pour la citer:</p>

<p>Rob Hyndman <a href="http://www.robhyndman.com/2006/01/06/sarmite-bultes-friends/">critique </a> fortement la position de celle qui esp&egrave;re devenir la nouvelle ministre de l&#39;h&eacute;ritage et du patrimoine:</p>
<blockquote><p>[...], “these people” are lobbyists, using money, power and access to protect their businesses at the expense of other interests in Canadian society. Surely it&#8217;s their job to get close to her, and a home run if they can convince her that they are her ‘friends&#8217;. One listens to one&#8217;s friends. They seem to have done their job of getting close to her rather well. Is this enough of a sign that Bulte has spent too much time with one side of the issue?</p>
<p>With friends like these, who needs democracy?</p>

<p>De plus, si ce n&#39;&eacute;tait pas suffisant, il semble que ces lobbys servent davantage des int&eacute;rêts corporatifs am&eacute;ricains que ceux des artistes canadiens. Fading Ways Record a &eacute;mis un <a href="http://www.fadingwaysmusic.com/onlineKits.html">communiqu&eacute; de presse</a> tr&egrave;s int&eacute;ressant &agrave; ce sujet.</p>
<blockquote><p>CRIA, via their statistics-heavy press releases, persist on manipulating opinion polls and numbers to claim that they speak for Canadian citizens and the majority of Canadian artists – nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, the interests of intermediaries like CRIA are not the same as the interests of the musicians, songwriters and other creator groups. CRIA can no more legitimately claim to politically represent musicians, than bank owners can claim to represent those who have bank accounts.</p>
<p>Furthermore, CRIA&#8217;s boast that they represent more than 95% records produced and sold in Canada is misleading. In fact, they represent the interests of the “Canadian” major labels, who are in fact cultural importers (largely of US acts) rather than exporters of Canadian artists. Very often Canadian artists like Danko Jones have to sign to foreign labels in order to export their own music. CRIA&#8217;s close ties to MP Bulte (”they are my friends”, she explained) are questionable and objectionable. Fading Ways Records believes that Canadian Heritage should be controlled by true Canadian cultural interests, not political sell-outs.</p>

<p>Finalement, CBC Radio a interview&eacute; les parties principales dans cette situation. Les entrevues audio (flux audio Real) de <a href="http://www.cbc.ca/ottawa/media/audio/ontariotoday/10b.ram">Michael Geist</a> et de la membre du Parlement <a href="http://www.cbc.ca/ottawa/media/audio/ontariotoday/10f.ram">Sarmite Bulte</a> sont un bon moyen de comprendre les positions de chacun.</p>
<p>Bref, cette histoire ne semble pas ralentir. Je vous tiendrez au courant &agrave; mesure que les choses &eacute;volueront.</p>
